She tried to make light of the gender switch by keeping every single aspect of each character but putting them in different bodies.

But It wasn’t great either, or better than Twilight.

Because even though the characters were gender swapped, their dialogue and especially Beau’s inner turmoil remained mostly identical to their opposite gender counterparts. Sobre Life and Death, no I mean male or female, they stand no chance with vampires and werewolves. I think I should have channeled my 18 year old self to be able to enjoy this. We are going to look at the four biggest gender blunders in the book: Clearly she means same city, same characters, absolutely identical story.

Why not leave them the same? Morgengraueen she was getting tired of the story and just wanted to end it quickly. Or maybe just gender swap Alice and Jasper. I would rather have Midnight Sun, it’s what I’ve been wanting for years. I really wish she had just left the werewolves out of the story altogether.
